Attorney Barri Martinez is a Dallas native. She attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Integrated Studies and a minor in Spanish. She then attended Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctorate degree.

Barri is active in the legal community. She serves on the council for the State Bar of Texas Immigration & Nationality Law Section and is the co-chair of the Dallas section of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA ). She is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association, J.L. Turner Legal Association, and Dallas Women Lawyers.

Barri was selected to the Super Lawyers 2025 Texas Rising Stars list, a distinction that only the top 2.5% of attorneys receive. She handles family-based immigration cases and represents clients in federal and state court litigation.

Barri is licensed to practice law in Texas. She also is federally admitted in the Northern District of Texas, Eastern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, Eastern District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
