Kathleen Klein
Kathleen Klein is an Associate Immigration Attorney with Roy Petty and Associates, where she handles family-based immigration and removal defense. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development and Penn State Dickinson School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor.
Prior to joining Roy Petty and Associates, she was the Legal Program Director at Mosaic Family Services, a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive services to survivors of human rights abuses. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and admitted to the Northern District of Texas.
An accomplished immigration attorney, Kathleen specializes in humanitarian and family-based immigration, including VAWA, U visas, and T visas. She is an expert in providing immigration representation to survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking, delivering services through a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
Deeply committed to leadership within the legal community, Kathleen is currently Co-Chair of Attorneys Serving the Community and will soon join the State Bar of Texas’ Immigration and Nationality Committee. She is the immediate past Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Immigration Section, and a State Bar of Texas Foundation Fellow. She also previously served on the Board of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Her community service dedication has been recognized with the 2023 Special Services to the Counsel Award from the Immigration and Nationality Section of the State Bar of Texas and the 2024 President’s Award with Distinction from the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
